Why so serious?

I re-watched Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice over the weekend. I think it’s the first time I’ve seen it since it was in theaters last year. It’s an entertaining enough movie and there’s plenty to like about it. But it doesn’t stand out to me as a particularly good movie. And I think it’s a very good example of many of the things that are wrong with this latest iteration of the DC movie universe.

Memories

The memory is a funny thing.

I work on a college campus. In fact, I work on the campus at which I received my undergraduate degree. And it’s weird what I remember from my undergrad days and what I either don’t remember or mis-remember.

For example, I graduated* from college in 1996 and didn’t really come back to campus consistently until 2010. Even then, it was to attend football games/tailgate so I really only roamed around a small part of campus when I did come back.
